Currency Settings

ConnectPOS supports multiple currencies. You can add multi-currencies in Outlet Settings.

In order to set up currency for each outlet:

Step 1: Make sure you have already added the new currencies in Multi Currency Setting.

Step 2: Go to Outlet & Register > View the Outlet Detail

Step 3: Select Outlet and Checkout Currencies

  • Outlet Currency: The currency in which prices and amounts are displayed on the Sell screen.
  • Checkout Currency: By default, this is the outlet currency, but you can choose a different currency at checkout for payment.

Syncing Taxes from eCommerce Store

Normally taxes are synced from your eCommerce platform if you create taxes by the default functions. You can view the tax list in Manage > Tax.

Create A New Tax In ConnectPOS

If you prefer to set up tax rules directly in ConnectPOS:

Step 1: Login to ConnectPOS

Step 2: Go to Manage > Tax > New Tax

Step 3: Input your Tax Rule

  • Tax Name (e.g., VAT, GST, Sales Tax)
  • Choose Your Country
  • Choose state (If needed)
  • Override All Tax: Enable this option to replace any tax rates synced from your eCommerce platform.
  • Choose Categories: Select categories if different categories require different tax rates.
  • Rate: Input your Tax Rate

Step 4: Once finish, click Save.

Note: Tax rules are applied based on your store’s address.

Default Template

After integrating your website with ConnectPOS, a default receipt will be created when you first open the POS.

Please note that you can still update this template to your liking.

Creating & Customizing Templates

To create a new receipt template, please follow these steps:

Open ConnectPOS > Manage > Receipt > Click on “Add New” button > Select your size.

Template Customization:

  • Company Info: Show your company’s information on the receipt (Address and Phone number).
  • Header Logo: Toggle, allowing you to enable/disable receipt header logo.
  • Logo URL: Put your logo image url here.
  • Header Align: Choose how your header will be displayed, with the option to adjust Title and Title Alignment.
  • Order Information: Show additional information about the orders as below: 
  • Customer Info: Show your customer’s email and phone number on the receipt, available options are:
    • Show email and phone number.
    • Show email only.
    • Show phone number only.
    • Don’t show email and phone number
  • You can also customize other relevant information. Some other additional options are:
    • Show Date & Time label
    • Show order ID instead of order number
    • Sales person
    • Shipping address
    • Top category
    • Discount per item
    • Row total include tax
    • Subtotal include tax
    • Show unit price of items
    • Show discount, shipment amount if they’re zero
    • Show tax amount equal to 0
  • Show Signature: Toggle, show the area for your customers’ signatures.
  • Footer: Footer text on your receipt.
  • Order Barcode: Toggle, show order barcode on receipt.
  • Show Digit Code: Toggle, show numbers of the barcode.
  • Barcode Symbology: Your barcode symbology type. Supported format are:
    • Code128 Auto
    • Code128A
    • Code128B
    • Code39
  • MSI Series.
  • Footer image: Toggle, show your logo image on footer of receipt.
  • Image URL: Your footer image URL.
  • Powered Text: Show ConnectPOS Powered Text on your receipt.
  • A new receipt draft will be created.
  • On the right of the customization list will be a receipt preview. Any customized you make will be updated on the preview.
Assigning Templates to Outlets

You can assign a receipt template to each Outlet. To assign receipt template to your outlet:

Manage > Outlet & Register > View Outlet Detail > Receipt > Select your template.

Auto-Printing Settings

You can assign the receipt for auto-printing receipt from your outlet:

Please make sure that the setting “Always Print Receipt After Sales” is enabled.

An Outlet is a location from which your products and items are sold, and orders are processed. Simply, an outlet is your physical store. On this page, you will be guided to create your own outlet on the ConnectPOS app.

To create a new outlet, please follow these steps:

Step 1: Login on ConnectPOS.

Step 2: Select your website (if you have multiple store urls)

Step 3: Click on the “Manage Outlets” button.

You will be directed to Outlet & Register.

Click “New Outlet” to start creating an outlet.

In the “Outlet Information“, input the following information:

  • Outlet Status: Toggle to enable/disable your outlet.
  • Outlet Name: Your outlet name.
  • Street: Your outlet’s street address.
  • City: Your store’s city location.
  • Zip/Postal Code: Your store’s location zip code.
  • Country: Dropdown, select your outlet’s country location.
  • Telephone: Your store telephone number.
  • Region: Input your location’s Region name or State name.
  • Depending on your country, this field will be either an input field, or a dropdown.

In the Outlet Configurations section, input the following information:

  • “Cashier” and “Salesman“: Select the people in charge of the transactions.
  • “Receip”: Select a receipt template for your outlet. A default template will always be available.
  • “Warehouse“: Select your warehouse. Products on Sell Screen will follow the warehouse’s inventory.
  • “Default Customer“: Search customers by email
  • “Allow Guest Customer“: Depending on your store:
    • Enable: Allow you to make sales with unregistered customers.
    • Disable: To create a sale, you must select a customer for your order.
  • Click on “Save” after all necessary information is filled in.
  • Your new outlet will be created after these steps.
Note: ConnectPOS does not allow deleting an outlet, you can only disable it.
